Education is the key to a sustainable future, to the conservation of our wild environment and this and our work has been endorsed by the European Parliament. Co-founder of Chipembele, Steve Tolan attended the European Parliament 19 January 2012 to receive the Science and Technology Options Assessment (STOA) Panel's 'Sustainability of Natural Resources Award'. Chipembele's work highlighted in the video here (see below) was assessed by the panel in December and the award officially announced in a sitting of th European Parliament. It's a real honour and the Chipembele team are thrilled to have been chosen!
