Wild Day Project
The Wild Day Project is returning orphans to the wild, one wild day at a time.
Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are excited to share with you a new initiative to support Chipembele’s Wildlife Rescue conceived by our dear friend Emma Still.
Emma is a passionate, creative conservationist from South Australia who has been actively involved with Chipembele since 2010. She is the Creative Director for the organisation and holds a seat on the Board of Trustees.
Emma has raised considerable funds for us over the years and sponsored star students to tertiary education via Creating for Conservation art exhibitions. Emma is the leading Australian organiser in the “A to Z” Student Conservation exchange. She has worked with us here in Mfuwe standing in as the acting Conservation Education Manager and on other visits designing and creating vibrant and interactive classrooms and student spaces.
Her latest effort for Chipembele is the innovative educational and fundraising project The Wild Day Project– engaging the global community in wildlife rehabilitation and the individual daily lives of some of the orphaned or injured wildlife species we rescue, rear and release back to the wild. When you purchase one, two, three or a set of four postcard sized magnets you contribute to the daily care of individual orphaned animals. These high-quality, fun art magnets make great gifts, or lined up on your home fridge you are part of their wild days every day!
A huge thank you to Emma for being a constant star. We highly commend The Wild Day Project and encourage your participation.
